Ohhhh, nothing gets Gamers panties in a bunch like knowing someone else gets to play a game you’ve been drooling over before you do. And when it’s not even something that was officially supposed to happen, well, it’s enough to drive players to arms.
According to Polygon, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag servers are currently live despite the game not officially being out until October 29th. Supposedly they will be reset once the official release hits, but not gained levels since “that is unfair on people who legitimately bought the game. Those in the wrong are the retailers.”
In all honesty, though, this little slip-up is such a small window of time that you have to wonder if it really will matter to many gamers. I suppose it depends on how seriously you take these things. Personally, I think it’s better to just focus on how kick ass of a pirate you are going to be in 24 hours.
